Our story
Shanti Travel was born from a deep commitment to Asia and a simple belief: a journey truly comes alive when it's built on the ground, on a human scale, with those who genuinely know the territory.
The adventure began in 2005 in New Delhi, when Jérémy and Alexandre founded the agency after extensively exploring the Indian subcontinent. Over the years, Shanti Travel gradually expanded its reach across Asia and opened local offices in several capitals, including Kuala Lumpur, the base for the team in Malaisie. From this hub, trips across the peninsula, to Borneo and neighboring islands are now designed, working closely with a network of partners carefully built over time.
Jeremy, director and co-founder, sets the course for a company that has remained true to its initial promise: to discover Asia unfiltered. Alexandre, also a co-founder, nurtures the agency's adventure and trekking DNA from its earliest Himalayan expeditions. On the ground, profiles like Rajesh, who joined Shanti in 2006 and has worked across all areas of travel, embody this English-speaking and local continuity that makes the company unique in Malaysia.

Yes, 7 days a week throughout your stay. You'll receive a local WhatsApp number + a dedicated emergency contact. Our on-site team can assist within hours in case of unexpected events (cancelled flight, illness, weather changes).
Your payments are 100% protected by the Professional Solidarity Association for Tourism. If a service provider (hotel, transport, etc.) or the agency fails, your funds are refunded. This is a mandatory guarantee for any French travel agency — Nomadays benefits from it across its entire network.
Yes, as much as possible. Changes made more than 30 days before departure are generally free of charge (excluding hotel rate differences). As your departure approaches, some bookings become less flexible — we always inform you of your options before confirmation.
